Getting to Pembroke

By air
- Stansted is our nearest major airport, 30 miles (50 km) south of Cambridge. Travel from Stansted to Cambridge by train, coach or car (40 mins).
- Heathrow is 80 miles (130 km) south. Travel from Heathrow to Cambridge by Train (tube into the centre of London - 50 mins, main line train from Kings Cross - 60 mins); Coach - 160 mins; Car - 150 mins .
- Gatwick is 110 miles (170 km) south. Travel from Gatwick to Cambridge by Train (Into London Victoria - 20 mins, tube across London to Kings Cross - 10 mins, main line train from Kings Cross - 60 mins); Coach - 160 mins; Car - 140 mins.
- Cambridge airport is small but has some connections to Amsterdam, Paris and other European locations.

By train
- Cambridge has fast train links south to London.
- Links to the north are via Peterborough.
You can walk to Pembroke from the rail station in about 30 minutes. Go straight ahead from the station entrance for about 400m. Bear right at the war memorial, then go straight ahead for about 1500m. Alternatively, take the bus from the rail station to the centre of town (every 8 mins) and get off just before the pedestrianised area, which is just after the building with the classical, pillared facade on the right.
Turn down the street opposite the pillared facade, which is Downing Street. Walk the 400m to the end (Downing Street turns into Pembroke Street half-way down). The entrance to Pembroke College is just round the corner to your left.
By coach
You can walk to Pembroke from the bus station in about 10 minutes. Turn right from the bus station down to the end of Emmanuel Street (200m), then left at the end on to St Andrew's Street for 100m, then right into Downing Street.
Walk the 400m to the end (Downing Street turns into Pembroke Street half-way down). The entrance to Pembroke College is just round the corner to your left.
By car
