Overseas students

There are no fixed quotas for the number of overseas students who can be admitted, except in Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Application follows the normal procedure for UK/EU students. If you are not taking A-levels or the International Baccalaureate, it is advisable to consult us at an early stage to ask about the examination results needed for a realistic application.

We do not insist on interviewing overseas candidates, except those applying for Medicine, but it is always desirable, if it can be arranged. Special arrangements are made for interviewing candidates from Singapore, Malaysia and, in some cases, Hong Kong, China and India, in their own country. Sometimes we will set a written test for those who cannot be interviewed.

Find out more about applying from a North American High School, applying as a one-year visiting student.

Visa requirements In order to study in the UK you will need to obtain a visa issued by the UK Border Agency (UKBA). Further details on how to apply for a visa will be sent to you if you are offered a place. You will not be allowed to enter the UK unless you have a valid visa.
