Open Days for 2012

Please ensure you book a place no later than one week before your preferred date.

Our Open Days this year are on:

• Saturday 21st April (all subjects except Maths, Land Economy, Music)
• Saturday 12th May for Mathematics (in conjunction with the Maths Department Open Day), Music (a joint Open Day with St Catharine's College); and Land Economy
• Wednesday 4th July there will be a Law Open Day (Faculty also open on this day)
• Thursday 5th July (Arts subjects) and Friday 6th July (Science subjects)
• Saturday 22nd September - an open afternoon for all subjects

The outline programme for the Open Days held on the 21st April, 5th and 6th July will be: start at approximately 11.00am with an admissions talk, followed by separate subject talks with Directors of Studies, lunch in Hall with current undergraduates, tour of the College. The programme will finish around 1.45pm when you will be free to look around other colleges and Cambridge, if you so wish. [Please note: Lunch is provided free of charge only for those attending the Open Day and is not available to family and friends, who should make their own arrangements].

The Maths Open Day on 12th May starts at 11.30am with a talk on admissions and maths at Pembroke. This will be followed by a tour of the College and lunch. You will then go to the Maths Department where the programme begins at 2.00pm and finishes between 4.30pm and 5.00pm.

The Music Open Day, also on 12th May, is a joint Open Day with St Catharine's College. At 10.15am, there will be an admissions talk at Pembroke, followed by a talk by the Director of Studies for Music, lunch at Pembroke, tours of both Pembroke College and St Catharine's College, plus a visit to the Faculty of Music. The day will finish at about 3.30pm.

Our Land Economy Open Day, on 12th May, will start at 10.30am with an introduction to the subject from the Director of Studies, followed by a case study. There will be an admissions talk, lunch in our Dining Hall and a tour of the college. The programme will end around 1.45pm.

If you are attending our Law Open Day on 4th July, then this takes place in the morning. Therefore you need to ensure that you book yourself a place on the Faculty's afternoon session, which commences at around 1.30pm. The Open Afternoon on Saturday 22nd September starts at 2.00pm and finishes around 4.00pm

Accommodation is available for the nights of 5th and 6th July. This accommodation is only available to those booked on Pembroke's Open Days, and for those who cannot make the journey to Cambridge in the one day. Unfortunately we are unable to offer any accommodation for the night of 4th July. The cost is currently £16.50 per person for bed and breakfast. To secure any accommodation booked, please send payment in advance to the Admissions Office at Pembroke College; cheques to be made payable to "Pembroke College".
