Please find, below, information concerning the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet Concert on Friday 13 February.

The timetable of the evening is as follows:

5.40 – Please arrive by this time, with your invitation card, and be ready to take your seat in the Chapel
6.00 – The concert begins
7.15 – Drinks in the Old Library
8.00 – Dinner for invited guests in Hall

As we are expecting a full house in the Chapel for the concert, we kindly request that you leave your coat on the coat rack in the Cloisters. During the concert the racks will be moved to the Outer Parlour for safe-keeping and later collection.

Questions you may have:

Q. Is there any parking available on the College site?
A. Unfortunately not. However, information on car parks in Cambridge can be found here.

Q. I am due to attend the dinner. What is the dress code?
A. The dress code is lounge suits. Fellows should wear gowns; gowns are optional for others who hold a Cambridge MA or other higher Cambridge degree.

Q. Do gowns need to be worn in Chapel?
A. They should not be worn in Chapel. See question above for advice on the wearing of gowns at dinner.

Q. I need to return to London after the dinner. What time are trains are between London and Cambridge?
A. The most convenient trains to catch would be:

10.30 – arrives at King’s Cross at 11.32
10.51 – arrives at Liverpool Street at 00.18
11.22 – arrives at King’s Cross at 00.50

Q. I need a taxi to get to the station. Could you suggest some local taxi firms?
A. As it is a Friday night, it might be advisable to book your taxi in advance if you need to catch a specific train. Allow 20 minutes to get to the station.
