Statement on the arrest of Honorary Fellow Vicky Bowman

Pembroke College was alarmed and concerned to learn about the arrest of Honorary Fellow Vicky Bowman on Wednesday night, in Yangon.

We call on all concerned to ensure her fair treatment and early release. Our thoughts are with her family.

Vicky matriculated as an undergraduate at Pembroke in 1984. She read Natural Sciences, graduating in 1987. In 2015 the College was delighted to appoint Vicky an Honorary Fellow of the College
