The College provides 24-hour computing facilities with free access to the Internet. The computer room contains around 25 PCs, plus an email terminal. There are also a couple of machines in the Library as well as an email terminal in the Porter’s Lodge.
All student rooms are now connected to the University high-speed data network. Students wanting to connect machines in their rooms should read the information below.
If you have any problems (or wish to report a fault), the College IT help desk can be emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any hardware or software problems with your personal PC, we will be able to take a brief look at it before recommending your next step. We normally recommend the University Computing Service who have a Hardware Support section and a Help Desk for user admin such as forgotten University passwords (Hermes, PWF, Raven). They also have a wide range of computer related courses.
The Cambridge Email System (Hermes) can be accessed from any web browser at https://webmail.hermes.cam.ac.uk
