Research Interests: Works on the comparative anthropology of indigenous Amazonian peoples. In particular on the social, economic and political life of a central Brazilian people called the Enawene-nawe. She teaches various topics in anthropological theory and has a broader theoretical interest in anthropological comparison. Other research foci include the study of myth, ritual, food and gender.
