Research Interests:
The Arts and Crafts Movement, and Russian Art. Teaching: the history and theory of art in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and specialized courses related to research interests. Publications include: ‘Russian Art and the West: A Century of Dialogue in Painting, Architecture and the Decorative Arts’ (2007: co-editor and contributor); ‘The Arts and Crafts Movement’ (2006); ‘An Imperial Collection: Women Artists from the State Hermitage Museum’ (2003: co-editor and contributor); ‘Russian Genre Painting in the Nineteenth Century’ (2000: under maiden name of Rosalind Polly Gray). Currently working on a new book entitled ‘Painting and Patronage in Imperial Russia: Creating a National School, 1757-1881′.
