Dr David Gioe
David Gioe holds a BA in History and Social Science from Wheaton College and an MA from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. He is also a graduate of the US Naval War College Command and Staff program. David spent a decade working in the US intelligence community, including as a Presidential Management Fellow in the National Security Division of the FBI. David served multiple overseas tours during his tenure as a CIA operations officer (case officer), resigning in 2011 to pursue full time graduate study. David retains his commission as a Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer, holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander. David is adjunct faculty with the National Intelligence University and is an active member of the Cambridge Intelligence Seminar and the Army Navy Club of Washington, DC. David’s PhD dissertation examines Anglo-American intelligence cooperation during the Cold War. Specifically, David looks at the causes of US-UK synergy and the results / impact for both transatlantic partners.
