Ms Esther van Ginneken
Esther van Ginneken is a PhD Candidate at the Institute of Criminology of the University of Cambridge. She has specialized in the study of imprisonment and desistance; her research project explores individual differences in the impact of imprisonment. For this project she has conducted interviews with male and female prisoners. Esther has a background in psychology and maintains a strong interest in legal psychology; in particular eyewitness identification, false confessions and jury decision-making.
