Marta Iñiguez de Heredia

Marta Iñiguez de Heredia is a Teaching Associate in the POLIS Department. She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE), and prior to this position she has taught at the LSE, Queen’s University, Rouen Business School, Deakin University and La Trobe University. Her research interests intersect peace and conflict studies, Africanist studies, historical sociology and practice theory in IR. This concerns in particular the practice of ‘post-conflict’ statebuilding and everyday forms of resistance, and the analysis of patterns of continuity and change in structures of domination during war and peace processes.

This research is currently concentrated on the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Great Lakes region.
