Dr Zeynep Kaya
Dr Zeynep Kaya is a Research Fellow at the LSE Middle East Centre and LSE Centre for Women, Peace and Security. Her research interests are in the international politics of the Middle East with a focus on Kurdish politics in Iraq, Syria and Turkey, as well as Turkish domestic politics and foreign relations. Dr Kaya recently completed a research project on gender equality in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and she is currently leading on research projects on the humanitarian responses to displacement and the women, peace and security agenda in Iraq. Dr Kaya completed her PhD in International Relations at the LSE and is working on her book Mapping Kurdistan: Self-determination, Territoriality and the Quest for Statehood.
