2018 Accommodation Band 4

These are “sets” or very large rooms within the colleges. A set is usually made up of two inter-connecting rooms, usually with one room set up as a bedroom and the other as a study and sitting area. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared with other students. There is a regular housekeeping service.

Pembroke College sets (rooms that combine a living room and bedroom) are situated around Pembroke courtyards and gardens. Simple cooking facilities are available in the shared kitchen areas (known as “gyp rooms”) and bathroom facilities are also shared. Sets in Pembroke College are a five to ten minute walk from the main lecture venue (the Department of Engineering on Trumpington Road) and just five minutes from King’s College and the city centre shops and restaurants.
