Applications and the Practicalities
You can apply to PKP if you are an undergraduate or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 or equivalent at the time of application, though the average GPA of successful applicants is normally well above 3.2, with the average over the last few years being 3.65. You should also meet our English Language Requirements, and you will need to have completed at least your first year at university by the time PKP begins.
Before applying you should ensure that you have read and understood all the information on our Terms and Conditions page on the sidebar menu.
You should apply through the ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM, and please note that applications expire after two months of inactivity.
You will be asked to provide an academic transcript from your home university and an academic reference. You should note that if your university has the facility to issue official certified .pdf electronic transcripts you can submit your transcript in that format. Alternatively, a scanned copy of an official transcript can be sent by a university administrator or academic, as long as the transcript is sent from an institutional email address. Academic references can likewise be sent by email from an institutional email address. Transcripts and references should be sent to the PKP Programme Coordinator.
You will be also asked to upload a digital photograph, of a type and size like that required for a passport, as a JPG file. It must be 50 kB or less in size, 96dpi to 200dpi, 280 pixels wide x 336 pixels high.
More detailed information about the application process can be found on our Essential Programme Information pages, accessed through the sidebar menu.
Applications are considered on a rolling basis and, given the intense competition for places, early application is advised. We aim to communicate our decision within six weeks of receiving a complete application.
You should note that you might also need to apply via your home institution and, if so, you should do so via the relevant website or contact person listed below.
If you apply to PKP through one of the following providers you should not apply directly to PKP, since your application will be managed by the provider, and you should instead communicate with the relevant contact person listed below for further information.
If admitted on the programme, you will receive an offer e-mail which will contain further instructions about choosing housing and course options. The online system will then allow you to choose your preferred options, but course and housing choices will only be confirmed on receipt of the appropriate fees.
It is very important that you keep in mind that full and final acceptance on to the programme is subject to the availability of courses and accommodation and the full payment of programme fees. To make sure you are definitely on the programme you will need to:
1. Select your housing and pay the accommodation fee. Your housing choice (and possibly any housing at all) is not guaranteed until the accommodation fee is paid in full. Please note that, once made, the choice of housing is final.
2. Select three courses and pay the tuition fee. Provisionally selecting courses but not paying the tuition fee does not guarantee course choices and options may become extremely limited over time. Remember that, once tuition fees are paid, course choices can be changed until 1 June 2017, if places are still available in the relevant courses.
You can pay your tuition and accommodation fees, choose courses and accommodation options, and change course choices by returning to your online application.
Visa requirements vary according to country of citizenship and you should therefore consult the Visa Information page on the sidebar menu.
