Daniel Rosenthal

Daniel Rosenthal has been a freelance arts journalist and editor since 1996, contributing hundreds of features, reviews and interviews to publications including 'The Times', 'Independent', 'Guardian', 'Daily Telegraph', 'Observer', 'Variety' and 'Sight and Sound'. From 2002–06, as Editor of the annual world cinema almanac, 'International Film Guide', he worked with critics from 70 countries. He wrote the Commentary for Student Editions of 'Oleanna' by David Mamet and 'Closer' by Patrick Marber and is the author of '100 Shakespeare Films' (2007) and a forthcoming history of the National Theatre of Great Britain, 'The National Theatre Story' (2011). A graduate and former Associate Scholar of Pembroke, since 2006 he has taught a Shakespeare on Film course for the college’s University of California Summer Session.
