Insurance

Please note that the Pembroke-King's Programme (PKP) does not provide any sort of insurance, other than Third Party Liability insurance. Students must acquire their own personal international insurance before departure.

Unless you are from a European Economic Area (the EU, Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein) country or Switzerland and have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) you are not entitled to free medical care in the UK.

If you are a US citizen please read carefully the Department of State advice on insurance and medical treatment abroad. Remember that U.S. medical insurance is generally not accepted outside the United States, nor do the Social Security Medicare and Medicaid programs provide coverage for hospital or medical costs outside the United States.
