London, the nation's capital, the largest city in Europe, and one of the most fascinating destinations in the world, is only fifty minutes by train from Cambridge. Students enjoy a daytrip to London during which they are free to explore the city on their own, or join PAs on organised visits around the city. Highlights can include walking tours of central London, taking in such sights as Buckingham Palace, Parliament and the London Eye, visiting some of the many museums and galleries, shopping, and even watching a play at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
