Semester Abroad Scheme
Applications for entry in January 2011 can be submitted between 1 January and 15 September 2010, and are considered on a rolling basis.
Each year, Pembroke College, on behalf of the University of Cambridge, accepts around thirty students from overseas universities for a two-term semester of study.

The Semester Abroad Scheme is an academically rigorous programme which requires students to meet the same high standards as those applying for an undergraduate degree. Semester Abroad students matriculate (become full members of the University) and are thus able to access the full range of opportunities and facilities, academic and otherwise. Students live in the same accommodation, take the same lectures, and participate in the same extracurricular activities as Cambridge students.
|
Semester Abroad students normally follow a standard undergraduate programme during the Lent and Easter Terms of the academic year. Students should therefore arrive the weekend before the beginning of Full Lent Term, and leave on the weekend after Full Easter Term. The last week of the Easter Term, known as 'May Week' despite it being June, is famous for its parties, concerts, college balls and garden parties and is an ideal way to round off this exceptional Cambridge experience.
