The University will be running a shadowing scheme which allows state-educated Year 12 students (S5 in Scotland, Year 13 in Northern Ireland) who are on track to achieve A*AA in their A levels (or equivalent) and have little family experience of university or great reservations about applying to Cambridge.

This scheme is free, with all meals and accommodation provided and travel costs reimbursed.

During their three day visit (Thursday afternoon – Saturday morning), students ‘shadow’ a current undergraduate studying a subject in which they are interested. They accompany them to lectures, classes and supervisions (small group teaching) while staying in one of the Colleges that make up the University. Students are also encouraged to take part in social activities which make up a big part of life at Cambridge.

The Standard Age Shadowing Scheme will run:
Thursday 18th – Saturday 20th January 2018
Thursday 25th – Saturday 27th January 2018
Thursday 1st – Saturday 3rd February 2018

This year the Mature Students’ Shadowing Scheme will run:
Thursday November 9th – Saturday November 11th 2017

Applications will close on October 15th for Mature Applicants and December 1st for Standard Age Applicants.
