Information for Teachers and Advisers

We know that teachers and advisers make a central contribution to the applications that reach us in October every year, and we greatly appreciate all that you do. The University has a wealth of information aimed at teachers and advisers which you can find by following this link.

In the pages that follow here, our aim is to tell you about some of the things that Pembroke can specifically offer. Please don’t hesitate to contact either our Admissions Officer, Ruth Watson (01223 338154), our Senior Schools Liaison Officer, Amber Cuttill or our Schools Liaison Officer with any specific questions.

Pembroke College is committed to encouraging young people to aspire to study at university, regardless of their background.

As part of the University of Cambridge Area Links Scheme, Pembroke works with students from schools in the local authorities of Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Leicester, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, the London Borough of Southwark, and Scotland (shared with Homerton and Selwyn Colleges).

Our Schools Liaison Officers co-ordinate a year-round programme of events and visits for secondary school students in Year 9 and above. This programme includes day and residential events as well as visits both from and to schools and colleges in our Link Areas. You can read more about our regular and forthcoming events on the Events pages.

Teacher Study Visits

The College hosts a number of teachers each year for short study visits. If you are interested in making such a visit, please follow this link.
