Matthew McConkey (English, 2012) was the team’s reserve and will serve as next year’s captain. He says: ‘After weeks of trialling we assembled a team of five students to make the journey to the ITV Studios in Salford. You’ll have to tune in to find out how the team fared in the tournament, but keep a look out for the College’s new honorary mascot, Paddy Pembroke.’

Pembroke’s first round match, against Magdalene College, Oxford, will be broadcast in October 2014.

The team also featured in a BBC documentary about the interview process called Class of 2014, which aired on BBC2 on 8th July.
