IMG_5282The 2016 Spring Semester Programme students ended their first term at Pembroke with a reception hosted by the Master, Lord Chris Smith, at the Master’s Lodge on Thursday, 10th March.

The Spring Semester Programme is organised by the International Programmes Department at Pembroke, and the 29 students, from some of the leading universities in the US, including Harvard, Yale and UC Berkeley, arrived in January to spend the Lent and Easter terms at Pembroke as part of their studies. Participating students take one Cambridge paper each term in their major areas of study, and this year students have opted to study papers in such varied subjects as Political Science, History of Art, Economics, and Anthropology.

The semester students typically have a fantastic time at Pembroke and many of them become very active in College life: last term some students rowed, while others joined the Pembroke Players or sang with the Lovely Choir.
