The Junior Parlour Committee (JPC) has raised £750 for Cool Earth, the charity chosen by undergraduates as this year’s JP charity.
Cool Earth works with rainforest communities to halt forest destruction and combat climate change. To do this, they put indigenous people in control of forests to shield vulnerable areas from loggers. The JPC raised money through a number of fundraising events, such as fortnightly pub quizzes and the sale of bike lights and USB cables. They also held a Halloween formal to raise further funds.
