Entrepreneurial Excellence from Pembroke Postdocs
The Semi-finalists in the University of Cambridge Postdoc Business Plan Competition have been announced, and Pembroke is well-represented. The following members have reached the semi-final:
- Tian Carey (2014) with project 'Textile Two Dimensional'
- Saif Ahmad (2013), who recently received his PhD from Pembroke, with project NeutroCheck
Also in the semi-finals is HexagonFab, represented in this case by Hannah Stern, but also a previous finalist in Pembroke's Parmee Prize, then represented by Ruizhi Wang (2014). Saif Ahmad and NeutroCheck were also finalists in the 2018 Parmee Prize. Congratulations to all for reaching the semi-finals. We will be keeping our fingers crossed for all teams in the next stages of the competition!
The Parmee Prize is an annual entrepreneurial award sponsored by Richard Parmee (1970), and also supported by the DG Marshall Trust. It offers Pembroke students a unique combination of advice and practical support, as well as a financial prize for the winner.
