Farewell to our 2018 Fall Semester students

It's time to bid a bittersweet farewell to our students on the 2018 Fall Semester Programme.

Over the last 3 months, 18 students from leading institutions in the US, France, China and Hong Kong have studied with us for an extended Michaelmas term as fully matriculated members of Pembroke College and the University of Cambridge.

While a semester may seem short, we know our students have cherished and made the most of the opportunity to study here; throwing themselves into everything Cambridge has to offer. From University cycling, ice hockey and theatre to bell ringing our students have tried it all, and you might have even seen Katherine feature in the College’s Pemcast and Danny’s blog post and interview with the Pembroke porters.

As their time with us at Pembroke drew to a close, we invited students and their supervisors to celebrate and reflect on the academic progress made, friendships developed and memories created at a dinner. We then rounded off the semester with a final opportunity to say goodbye over mulled wine and mince pies.

Director of International Programmes, Dr Daniela Passolt, said: “It has been a real pleasure watching the semester students grow academically and socially during their time with us. They have truly enriched the life of the College and as lifelong members of Pembroke, hope they retain a close link with us in the future. We wish them all the best as they return to study at their home institutions.”
