Spring Semester Programme 2020

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming 48 international students on the Spring Semester Programme 2020.

The students, who this year mainly come from leading institutions in the US, have already started to settle into life at Pembroke attending a welcome buffet, orientation sessions and a welcome formal hall organised by the International Programmes department. By meeting members of the Junior Parlour Committee and their college families, the students have also been warmly welcomed into the undergraduate community.

Laura Stoker, the Semester Programmes Manager, said: “After several months of build-up it was delightful to finally meet the new semester students, and welcome back our full year students, with a variety of start of term events. I hope they enjoyed meeting each other on arrival day, their first formal hall and settling in to Cambridge life.”

The Spring Semester Programme offers international students the opportunity to study at Pembroke for the Lent and Easter terms (equivalent to one semester). As fully matriculated members of both the College and the University, semester students are able to access the full range of academic and non-academic facilities on offer at Cambridge.

We wish our students the best as they find their feet in Cambridge and hope they thrive in this new environment.
