Accommodation Band 1
Rooms in band 1 are small rooms in offsite College accommodation known as 'hostels'.
They all have the essential facilities of a bed, desk, chair, storage space as well as access to a shared bathroom and shared kitchen facilities.
There's also a regular housekeeping service and the cleaners, known as 'bedders', will clean your room weekly and communal areas daily.
The hostels on Panton Street are located close to the University Botanic Gardens and a five to ten minute walk from the main lecture venue.
There's several student houses on this street, all with gardens and the city centre and Colleges are within walking distance.
Houses on Bateman street are ideally located near to the train station but still in a quiet location. They're also just a few minutes walk from the Botanic Gardens.
They're around a 10-15 minute walk to the main lecture venue.
These 19th century houses have backyard patios and are located in between Pembroke College and King's College and the main lecture venue, the Department of Engineering.
The renowned Fitzwilliam Museum is just across the road and the city centre is easily accessible. Fun fact: Charles Darwin once lived on the site of one of the Fitzwilliam Street houses!
