Pembroke College Cambridge

Accommodation and Meals

With their extensive informal gardens and quiet courtyards, the Colleges are beautiful places in which to live and work.

Cambridge is not a campus university; the Colleges, student housing, departments, facilities, lecture halls, libraries and other facilities are all spread across and integrated into the city meaning you'll get to know the whole city during the course of your academic and social life here.

On the Semester Programmes we'll allocate you a single-occupancy room in a Pembroke College-owned 'hostel' (shared student housing).

Meals

You'll have the option to self-cater if you prefer as there is no set meal plan, although kitchen facilities will vary and may be more limited in some housing.

Most students choose to eat at last some of their meals in the Pembroke College Servery (cafeteria) and Café, which offer a full range of hot and cold food throughout the week. It's also a great way to catch up with other students. You'll have a swipe card to make purchases and these are added to your College bill, which you pay at the end of each term.

You'll also have the opportunity to attend College dinners known as 'Formal Halls'. These are three-course candlelit meals enjoyed in beautiful dining halls with students and fellows; a Cambridge tradition dating back hundreds of years.

If you'd like to find out more about dining at Pembroke, we recommend looking at the catering section of the website.
