Musical Mayhem to Organised Order

For the staff at Pembroke, there are many tasks behind the scenes that you might not notice.

Pic 1For Director of Music, Anna Lapwood, one of those tasks is the organisation of the music library.  If you’ve ever been in the organ loft (the realm of organ scholars, hidden from view as they perform organ accompaniment for services in chapel), you might have an idea of how much music we have.  If you’ve ever been to a concert, service, or any of the other events our choir takes part in, you’ll have heard for yourself the result of selecting, studying and rehearsing the music held there. Organising our music properly means that it’s easier to use day-to-day, but also that it’s kept safely for future generations of the College.
