Our conditional offer is at least A*AA for arts and social sciences (excluding Economics) plus Veterinary Medicine and Psychological and Behavioral Sciences. For science courses (excluding Veterinary Medicine and PBS) plus Economics it is at least A*A*A/ A*A*AA.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Our typical offer is 40-42 points overall (including bonus points), with 7,7,6 or 7,7,7 at Higher Level.
We normally require students to have sat Higher Levels and three Advanced Higher subjects.
At Higher Level we require AAAA or better. We normally ask for three A grades at Advanced Higher, specifying bands.
It may be possible to accept a student with only two Advanced Higher subjects and an additional Higher Level subject in cases where a student is unable to get access to three Advanced Higher subjects in school. This would depend on the exact circumstances and the course applied for, and if you are in this situation, we would advise you to get in touch with us for advice before applying.
Some Scottish candidates will be under the age of 18 at the point they will be starting university (matriculation). It should be made clear that these candidates can make an application to Pembroke College. Our policy is to assess candidates who will be under 18 at matriculation on a case-by-case basis for their suitability to study and live in an adult environment.
We welcome applications from students who are either studying towards the full Cambridge Pre-U Diploma or certain Principal Subjects within the qualification alongside A-levels. Conditional offers will be set on an individual basis but are likely to be in the region of D2, D2, D3. We do not set offers at D1 level.
