On Friday 15th October 2021, we will be livestreaming the 16th William Pitt Seminar, ‘What should come from COP26?

The 2021 seminar will focus on the climate crisis as part of the theme for the Corporate Partnership Programme’s 25th Anniversary year.

Climate change is the largest and most essential change management programme in history. COP26 HAS to be a turning point, so how do we move from the seemingly endless talking about it and actually dive into action?

The events of the past year and a half have given us all time to pause and reflect on our priorities and how we can rebuild stronger, safer and more sustainably. There has never been a better chance to stop talking and start acting. Our speakers will provide their perspectives on how change can be galvanised, propose the priority actions that need to be taken, and suggest the indicators used to measure progress.

Chaired by Pembroke Fellow and Professor of Human Geography Mike Hulme (2018), the 16th William Pitt Seminar will be introduced by the Master, Lord Chris Smith.

The speakers are:

  • Professor Lavanya Rajamani, University of Oxford
  • James Miller (2020), Pembroke student and climate activist
  • Dr Lee De-Wit, University of Cambridge
  • Emma Howard Boyd CBE, Chair of the Environment Agency
