An exhibition featuring works by three Cambridge-based artists, Idit Nathan, Rebecca Ilett and Xinyi Bi.

Artists have responded to the brief of ‘bringing Pembroke College’s site, spaces, history and communities into dialogue with the work of contemporary artists creating new insights into the work of the College and its collection.

The exhibition launches on 16 September at 1:45 PM and will be introduced by Professor Rosalind Polly Blakesley. The exhibition runs until Sunday 8 October.

Tender Stones

3.00 PM and 6.30 PM, The Auditorium (Trumpington Street, CB2 1RJ)

Dancer and choreographer, Lucy Suggate, and her three fellow dancers will be premiering 'Tender Stones' in Pembroke's new performance space, the Auditorium.

There will be two performances, at 3.00 PM and 6.30 PM.

This new work is called Tender Stones and is an artistic and poetic exercise in making stone, informed by Pembroke College’s original site, the work wants us to consider ways we connect the past to the present and how we pay attention to time and space. Lucy has used an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating closely with Charlie Ford, an artist and designer, using drawing, paper, sculpture, and dance to explore the illusory possibilities of humble materials. During the performance, a team of four performers will construct paper stones with uncanny effects on time, weight, and tenderness.

Book your ticket(s) now.

On Sunday 17 September, Lucy will be running two dance workshops, 'Drift // Paper // Tender // Stone', in the Auditorium, one for children at 10.30 AM and for over-16s from 1.00 PM .
