Dr Catherine Kamal

Dr Kamal joined Pembroke College in October 2021 as the Stokes Research Fellow. Dr Kamal aims to apply mathematical modelling to engineering challenges and natural phenomena relating to soft particles or vesicles in liquids, thin-films and contact lines, to create testable models for advance in industrial application. Dr Kamal hopes to apply the theoretical and computational framework developed for graphene nanoparticles to model realistic anisotropic carbon nanoparticles such as carbon nanotubes in real-life fluidic systems; continuing her research vision of answering specific challenges within the mathematical and engineering communities.
