Dr Clare Buckley

Clare is a Sir Henry Dale Research Fellow at the department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience. Her lab uses optogenetics and live confocal imaging the zebrafish neural tube and cell culture models to study cell polarity during epithelial organ development and disruption. Clare is interested in fostering a collaborative and supportive research culture and is interested in helping with mentorship at Pembroke. She helped to establish the early PI network within the School of Biological Sciences (https://www.bio.cam.ac.uk/biological-sciences-early-pi-network), which provides peer mentorship for new group leaders and collaborates with the school to contribute to positive research culture change within the University.
