The Start of the Spring Semester Programme 2019

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming 43 international students on the Spring Semester Programme 2019.

The students, many of whom are from leading universities and liberal arts colleges in the US, have already started to settle into life at Pembroke attending a welcome buffet, orientation sessions and a welcome formal hall organised by the International Programmes department. By meeting members of the Junior Parlour Committee and their college families, the students have also been warmly welcomed into the undergraduate community.

Laura Stoker, the Semester Programmes Manager, said: “It’s always an exciting start to the year with the arrival of the Spring Semester students. It’s been great finally being able to meet face to face after months of anticipation and excitement on both ends.”

The Spring Semester Programme offers international students the opportunity to study at Pembroke for the Lent and Easter terms (equivalent to one semester). As fully matriculated members of both the College and the University, semester students are able to access the full range of academic and non-academic facilities on offer at Cambridge.

We look forward to getting to know the students during their time with us and wish them a great start to the term!
