Getting to Cambridge

There are several ways to reach Cambridge depending on how you arrive in the UK.

Central London to Cambridge

There are regular train services from London King's Cross and London Liverpool Street Station taking around an hour to Cambridge. You can buy tickets in advance or in person at the station.

Stansted Airport to Cambridge

There's a direct train service from Stansted Airport to Cambridge taking around 25 minutes. You can buy tickets in advance or in person at the station.

You can also take a National Express coach to Cambridge taking around 45 minutes. You can buy tickets in advance or in person at the airport. The coach will drop you off at the National Express bus stop on Parker's Piece. 

Heathrow Airport to Cambridge

The easiest route to Cambridge from Heathrow is taking the National Express coach from the terminal to the National Express bus stop on Parker's Piece. This takes around 3 hours and you can buy tickets in advance or at the airport.

Alternatively, you can travel into Central London and get a train to Cambridge. To get from Heathrow to Central London you'll need to either go on the London Underground via the Piccadilly Line or take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington

Gatwick Airport to Cambridge

You can take a National Express coach from Gatwick Airport to Cambridge, taking around 4 hours. You'll be dropped off at the National Express bus stop on Parker's Piece and you can buy tickets in advance or at the airport.

Alternatively, you can take a Thameslink train to London Victoria and transfer to King's Cross or London Liverpool Street and catch a train to Cambridge. 

What about once I arrive in Cambridge?

Cambridge is a very walkable city but if you have heavy luggage you might want to take a taxi from the station or the coach stop on Parker's Piece. It's around a 15 minute walk from Parker's Piece to the city centre and about 25 minutes from the station.There's also taxi ranks at both locations.
