Applications and Accommodation

To apply for the Pembroke Cambridge Summer Programme you will need to be at least 18 years old by the time the programme starts and be enrolled in, or have graduated from, a course of study in higher education.

Applications received after the programme is full may be placed on a waiting list. If this is the case, the International Programmes Department will contact you.

  • a copy of your most recent undergraduate academic transcript, showing both the term and cumulative GPA.
  • a reference from a lecturer who has regularly taught you at university level in an academic environment as part of your undergraduate course of studies. Teaching assistants can be referees if they fulfil the criteria listed above.

Graduate students are welcome to apply for the Pembroke Cambridge Summer Programme, but are advised to check with their institution for advice about gaining course credit for participation on the programme. The following documents should accompany the application:

  • a copy of your undergraduate academic transcript, as issued at graduation, showing final GPA
  • a reference from a lecturer who regularly taught you at university level in an academic environment as part of your undergraduate course of studies

The International Programmes Department will endeavour to secure your preferred accommodation option upon receipt of the appropriate fee. Rooms are booked on a first-come first-served basis, so it is not possible to guarantee that a room in a particular accommodation band will be available.

The International Programmes Department reserves the right to amend a student's selected accommodation option should circumstances beyond our control mean that accommodation in the selected location or selected accommodation band becomes unavailable.

Receiving an Offer

The International Programmes Department will communicate the outcome of an application within 10 working days of its completed submission.

Upon receiving an offer to participate in the programme, you will need to initially secure your place by selecting and paying the appropriate fee for your accommodation. If your accommodation is automatically assigned you will need to submit your courses to secure your place.

PLEASE NOTE: Paying your accommodation fee initially secures a place on the programme, however, to be fully confirmed as a participant you must have paid both your accommodation and tuition fees.
