Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Social Engineering

Our increasing reliance on technology has perhaps made us more vulnerable to forces we do not seem to have control over. Cyber-attacks have devastating impacts on not only companies, government institutions but also on individuals. How can we prevent these? How can we think like hackers and thereby thwart their attempts to dupe us?

Learn more about this exciting field by pursuing one of the research topics listed below (or suggest your own research idea via the Open Stream).

Intended audience

Research projects in this stream are open to students from all disciplines but may be of particular interest to students studying psychology and sociology, as well as anyone interested in puzzle solving and role playing. Social engineering, behaviour modification and nudge techniques will be explored.
