Empirical Economics of Productivity

Looking for a project that is empirical in economics? The projects below aim to provide you with the opportunity to experience empirical research methodology and equip you with basic statistical tools to estimate productivity and to run statistical analyses.

Intended audience

Projects in this stream are most suited for students who would like to learn anew and / or deepen their understanding of empirical research methodology in economics.

Previous knowledge

As the research focus is mainly empirical, a basic knowledge of statistics and regression analysis would be helpful, but not mandatory, as there will be a couple of introductory sessions for those who come with no background in empirical analyses.

Please note: you will need the statistical software STATA for the project. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a STATA licence to students on the programme.

Assessment

Dissertation (no more than 6,000 words): 100% of the total.
